Victor Dahdaleh Foundation proud to support mesothelioma research

Mesothelioma is an aggressive cancer usually caused by breathing in asbestos dust. Most of the cases affect people’s lungs but it can strike in other parts of the body.

With only 7% of those diagnosed surviving more than 5 years, the condition tragically causes 2,394 deaths a year in the UK.

As the UK’s leading lung health charity, Asthma – Lung UK  awarded a staggering £11.2 million to fund high-quality mesothelioma research projects. Thanks to our funding partner the Victor Dahdaleh Foundation for their part in this huge achievement.

Later this summer we will award up to £900,000 to new mesothelioma research projects. This is possible due to the generous support of another funding partner Catalina Holdings.
